Excitement trumps fear.

I don't know if I have told this story before, but I will do it now.

I take you back to February 2020, before you know what took over the world. Life was moving in a good direction. My partner and I had paid off all of our business debts; we were putting savings away and still able to book an annual trip. He was getting busy, and I was getting new clients.

We had decided that Los Cabos was our destination this year and we were looking forward to it. I had us all packed, and slowly the news of you know what started coming in. I started feeling a little anxious and even started wondering if I should cancel the trip. I spoke to my therapist just before I left, and she suggested that I cancel it because it seemed unsafe. At this point in the game, there were no answers and a lot of denial from governments.

I asked the Universe to give me a sign. Cardinal means to stay, and Bluejay means to go. I shared this with the family and asked them to report if they saw any of the above birds, but I didn't share what they meant. Right up to the morning of our flight, I saw nothing.

So off we went to catch our flight. I was nervous, anxious, afraid, excited, and on edge. I did all of my usual regulation exercises to keep me looking calm for the family. The last thing I wanted was for them to get nervous too.
